Reverse Engineering
Did you want to shift manufacturing of a part to a different partner company and realized that you don’t have actual manufacturing drawings? Did you want to make design changes to an assembly and noticed that you don’t have the drawings for it? Is the local scanning shop charging you a ransom to reverse engineer a part? Do you have a concept that you carved out or modeled with your hands, which you want to be manufactured to the exact level of detail? Send us those parts and we will have manufacturing drawings made for you!
Ego offers a turnkey solution for all your reverse engineering needs. Just provide us the part and get a new one reproduced quickly. With our integrated 3d scanning and quick-turnaround prototyping experience, we are a one stop shop for scanning, processing and manufacturing as per specifics.
We employ the latest technology for reverse engineering of components for accurate and rapid reproduction. We use FARO Laser Scan Arm or Artec Eva 3D Scanner and powerful 3D modeling software to capture complex geometries and free form surfaces. Our 3D scanner scans and digitizes your reverse engineering parts with highest of the accuracies. A fully surfaced 3D CAD model is prepared which can be examined and further modified in case of a broken part. This can be then converted to a 2D drawing if required for manufacture of your reversed engineered component.
Our Reverse Engineering Capability
Reverse Engineering is normally employed for scenarios where a component or part which is used in an existing setup breaks down and the replacement part cannot be found. It also could apply to cases where a custom made part which is cast, molded, punched, pressed or fabricated does not have a technical drawing so that it could be re manufactured.
With technological advancement, it has become feasible more economical to reverse engineer a part of an expensive plant or equipment. Ego has the capability to assist customers with the entire reverse engineering process.
We can help you with the entire process of your reverse engineering requirement or the specific areas of the process. Please contact us to discuss your requirement to see how we can help you.
